Emily and Tavis are one of my all time favourite couples and I am so thrilled so have been able to capture their wedding. We first met after I was recommended to them by a previous bride and after hearing that their venue was the impressive Hensol Castle, I really couldn’t wait to photograph them. Emily, Tavis and I were able to meet a few times before their big day as they asked me to photograph their adorable newborn daughter Mali, and then again for the engagement shoot as well as our pre wedding meeting. So by the time the wedding came around, I really felt like I knew them well.
The couple had chosen my current favourite colour scheme of rose gold so I was in my element capturing all the beautiful details. Emily was transformed into the most picture perfect bride and was just radiant in her Sophia Tolli ball gown.
The wedding was held in a church, then it was onto Hensol Castle for the newlyweds to party with their friends. They were a delight to photograph, so at ease with each other resulting in some beautiful portraits of them together. Inside the venue was beautifully decorated in keeping with their rose gold theme, with the help of Emma Hall. Meanwhile, Tavis had planned a surprise for Emily by having photos of their pre wedding shoot turned into giant prints which were scattered throughout the building. Seeing my images being displayed as such a prominent feature was overwhelming and took me by surprise. I am still overjoyed that they were so happy with them that they wanted all their guests to see them.
After some beautiful and funny speeches, Indienational kicked off the evening celebrations, much to the delight of the wedding guests.
Emily and Tavis went so far above and beyond to make sure I was well looked after and I really can’t thank them enough. It was pure joy from start to finish. They are a beautiful couple, both inside and out and I’m sure they will have an amazing future together.
