{Wedding} Nicola & Dale | Parents' Barn, Llangattock

As soon as I heard about this wedding I knew it was going to be epic and so I was so excited when they booked me as their wedding photographer. I met with Nicola a week or so before the wedding to have a look around her parents' farm, which was to be the location of their big reception. She was so laid back and had the perfect approach to her homegrown wedding.

On the morning of their big day, I arrived at the house for bridal preparations and as expected, Nicola was as calm as a cucumber, taking everything in her stride. The attention to detail was incredible and really set the tone for the day. I fell completely in love with her gorgeous blue shoes and still can't believe how the bridal party made their own bouquets. Nicola looked breathtaking in her classically elegant gown and Dale was delighted to see her walking down the aisle.

Following the ceremony, Dale had arranged for a surprise mode of transport, in the form of his tractor (he made sure it was clean for his queen!). We took a detour and stopped along the canal for some portraits before making our way to the reception venue. Arriving at the former cow shed, I was astonished at how it had been completely transformed, complete with everyone's wedding must-have... a bar!

A delightful afternoon tea ensured everyone was well fed, though the groom insisted on having his favourite fast food cuisine (and why not!)! The whole day was filled with fun, it was absolutely perfect!

I simply adore 'blank-canvas' weddings, where the couple get to take charge of every detail, even more so when they involve their friends and families in creating their special day. The level of detail can be seen for itself below. Fair play Nicola and Dale, you nailed it!
