Bethan and Scott are another of my couples that booked me having seen me at their friend's wedding a few years ago. It makes me so happy when couples book me this way because they've seen how I work and they've seen the finished result so really know what they are getting.
The couple chose one of my favourite venues, The New House Hotel in Thornhill, just outside Cardiff. If you've never been, the views are incredible and the food is always really good. Weddings are always so well co-ordinated here and the staff are good as gold, I would absolutely recommend it as a wedding venue.
Both the bride and groom got ready at the venue in the morning, one of the many benefits of being able to have everything all in one place. Popping up to check on the decorations etc I could tell that we were in for a rollercoaster ride with the weather... It went from strong sunny blue skies to overcast in a matter of minutes. It is the only wedding I've ever photographed that quite literally showed all the elements. We had rain, wind, snowy sleet, sun and just as I was getting ready to capture the big group shot, a downpour of hail!
Nonetheless, the day went extremely well! The ceremony was held in the Wyndham suite followed by drinks in the lounge area and then the wedding breakfast up in the marquee which was beautifully decorated. The speeches were hillarious and really set the tone for a fantastic fun filled evening of partying and celebrations.
Rick and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with wonderful guests and felt totally welcomed in by everyone. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Abraham, thank you for having us! xx
