Grace and Jake found me at a wedding fayre over two years before they got married and I'm so glad they did! Their Harry Potter inspired wedding was filled with wonderful special touches and made the perfect occasion to beat the post Christmas blues.
Both Grace and Jake got ready at their venue - Bryngarw House, a perfect little wedding venue on the outskirts of Bridgend. Many people will be familiar with the surrounding park lands and the popular Japanese Gardens. I brought my second shooter, Rick, along with me so he could get some shots of Jake getting ready, as well as those angles that I wouldn't be able to get myself. A second shooter really does allow me to be in two places at the same time, which really helps tell the story of the day.
Unfortunately the weather didn't want to hold off, but Grace was a trouper and embraced the rain. She didn't even mind going for a walk down to the gardens even if it meant her dress got a bit muddy, though maybe that had something to do with the fact that she had another beautiful dress waiting to be worn in the evening. Yes, TWO dresses! Jealous much?!
There were lots of sentimental touches throughout the day and I absolutely LOVED their photo wall filled with photos of them when they were younger and when they got together.
Grace looked fabulous in both of her dresses and Jake thoroughly enjoyed spinning her around the dancefloor during their first dance. It was a pleasure to capture their day and get to know such, kind and caring people x
