{Wedding} Sharon & Paul | The Parkway Hotel, Cwmbran

Sharon and Paul contacted me just a few weeks before their wedding as their original plans had changed due to Covid. They had planned to go to Gretna Green but were unable to travel due to the restrictions. Happily though, they were able to have their dream wedding day back in their home county instead.

Sharon and Paul arrived at Pontypool register office where they exchanged vows. We then headed over to the beautiful Italian Gardens in Pontypool Park for some photos where the August sunshine was out in full force - it was so hot and bright so we tried to find some shade among the lovely leaves.

Then off we went to the Parkway for an afternoon reception. The venue were brilliantly accommodating and provided the wedding party with their own private courtyard area for them to enjoy their afternoon tea (which looked delicious!). It was wonderful and gave us the perfect opportunity to take some more fun shots, making light of the situation. Thankfully masks weren't required at any point in the day, but we just had to make use of them for novelty value!

This was my first wedding since the new restrictions. It was a small intimate gathering of a committed and loving family which just made the occasion all the more special. I'm not a fan of the term 'Micro Wedding' as I feel it devalues the day for the couple. Sharon and Paul's wedding was real, their love is mighty and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together xx
