Siriol and Tom were married on a lovely autumnal day back in October last year in the pretty village of Taffs Well. I was thrilled to be their wedding photographer as their day had such a personal feel. Married where Siriol's parents and maternal grandparents were also married, the chapel had special sentimental value as it was also where she was christened alongside her twin sister, Nia.
Bridal preparations were filled with beautiful details (how gorgeous are Siriol's shoes?) and such a lovely atmosphere. When the time came to put on the all important dress, Siriol and her mum had a special moment together. It's times like this I realise how special my job is - I get to witness first hand the most intimate instances. It never gets forgotten what a privilege that is.
Having my second shooter, Rick, attend the wedding with me, meant that we could get some fabulous shots from the back of the ceremony, as well as lots more candid moments throughout the day.
Afterwards we headed to the fantastic Llanerch Vineyard for a wonderful celebration. Despite the predictions of all day rain, we managed to get through all the group shots as well as most of the couple portraits before the clouds decided our time was up. Even then, I didn't give up and we braved the rain again in the evening for those magical rainy day wedding shots.
Siriol and Tom's day was filled with wonderful details that had been planned meticulously. One of my favourites were the home grown succulents that were given as favours, as well as the Mr & Mrs Dinasour cake topper. Love and Fun is all you need for a perfect wedding (in my opinion!) and Siriol & Tom did it with gusto.
With a surprise band, the evening celebrations looked set to be superb! It was a fantastic day and I'm so pleased to have been part of it. I look through their wedding highlights with a big smile on my face, remembering all the laughs that were had throughout the day. Congratulations both, it was a joy xx
