{Wedding} St Tewdrics Church & House | Anna & Rhys

St Tewdric's Church Wedding Photographer

Anna & Rhys had an absolutely fabulous wedding on a warm September day last year. Starting off at home, we then travelled to the fabulous St Tewdrics Church in Mathern for their heartfelt ceremony. This beautiful church has been standing for centuries and is just a short drive away from it's obvious partner, St Tewdrics House, where we went to celebrate the couple's marriage.

There were lots of wonderful highlights on this lovely day, but my personal favourite part was the speeches. Many people's favourite part, good speeches really allow you to get to know the couple better, with some funny anecdotes thrown in for good measure. Everyone has a story, but learning how these two got together melted me. After long (really long) hospital shifts, these two would sneak to the beach to spend some time getting to know each other during various lockdowns.

Rhys has faced many challenges but his strength and courage shone through, not only in his beautifully eloquent speech, but also in those of his dad and his best man. One of the most inspiring role models, seeing his friends' support for him moved me, any many others to tears. The speeches concluded with the most special gift from Rhys's dad, along with some help from the St Tewdrics house team. A signed keepsake from Geraint Thomas's Tour de France route, the most wonderful gift for such a keen cyclist.

Afterwards, the three of us headed outside for some gorgeous couple portraits. Their wedding photography was really important to them and I'm thrilled they are so pleased with their photos.

My favourite venue, St Tewdrics House is a photographer's dream. The light is absolutely gorgeous, the grounds are immaculately kept and the staff cannot do enough for you. I really am starting to think September is the best time to get married. Scroll through and let me know if you agree.
