Weddings at St Tewdrics House

Congratulations!  You have made an EXCELLENT choice.  St Tewdrics House is one of my favourite wedding venues in South Wales.  Not only is it breathtakingly beautiful with 360 degree views, but the staff show so much care and really go above and beyond to make your day perfect in every way. These aren't just empty words, I've seen first hand the lengths the wedding co-ordinators go to behind the scenes, to make sure your day will run seamlessly.  If anything does go wrong (things happen), they'll sort it before you will even realise.

Every inch of the venue has been thoughtfully considered and the team are constantly making improvements, even though it's already perfect!

You couldn't have chosen a better venue to be home to the best day of your lives.

I am unbelievably proud to be on their recommended supplier list, it really is a dream come true.  Since I have photographed so many weddings there and seen all the seasons as well as many different styles of wedding, I thought I would create an informative place for my couples to get some ideas.

Ceremony Options

Ty Haf

If the weather is on your side, or you don't mind taking a bit of a risk then the beautiful structure in the middle of the venue grounds is a great option.  The stunning pergola is what makes St Tewdrics House instantly recognisable.

The Courtyard

The most popular choice with great reason, the courtyard gives you weather proofing without compromise.  Flooded with natural light, it is a neutral haven that can be decorated to suit every style, or left blank for classic simplicity.

A Church

If getting married in a church is important to you then there is the loveliest church a few minutes drive away in Mathern, St Tewdrics Church.  It is a gorgeous 6th century building filled with history.  The vicar is hilarious and friendly and delivers really beautiful ceremonies.

Ceremony Styling Inspiration

Confetti Time

Choose from the front of the house, Ty Hâf or even under the covered walkway if it's a bit wet! This will typically take place immediately after the ceremony and before the drinks reception.

Drinks

Make a statement with a drinks reception that reflects your personalities! After your confetti shots I will typically make the most of having everyone together and will do the big group shot (if requested) straight away before everyone grabs a drink.

Group Shot Options

My experience at St Tewdrics means you can trust me to find all the best spots to capture the groups shots.  I always look for the light first but I'm more than happy to take on board your personal backdrop preferences if you have them.

I'll then take these as soon as I can before everyone goes off to check in, mingle etc.
