Mahli & Tom's Dreamy Engagement Photoshoot at Ogmore Beach
When Mahli and Tom first reached out to me about their engagement photos, I could already tell this was going to be a special shoot. They wanted something romantic, natural, and reflective of their love for the outdoors — and Ogmore Beach was the perfect location to bring that vision to life.
Ogmore Beach, with its rugged coastline and stunning views, is one of those magical places that offers so many different moods. Whether it’s the sweeping sands, the dramatic cliffs, or the iconic rock pools, Ogmore has everything a couple could want for a memorable photoshoot. For Mahli and Tom, it was the perfect backdrop to tell the story of their relationship: adventurous, laid-back, and full of laughter. We met in the late afternoon, just before golden hour. To be gin with, it was totally overcast and we were disappointed we may not get to see any sun, but as the session went on, the sun made it's final appearance before disappearing behind the horizon.
As soon as Mahli and Tom arrived, I could tell how comfortable they were in each other's company — it’s always a joy to work with couples who have such a natural chemistry. We started with a few relaxed shots near the beach’s edge, with Mahli and Tom holding hands, walking along the shoreline, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.
The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks, the salty breeze in the air — all of these elements added to the beauty of the moment, perfect for making some truly timeless photos.
There’s something about sunset light that makes everything feel so magical. Mahli’s flowing dress, Tom’s infectious smile, and that warm glow in the sky — it was pure romance. The soft evening light gave everything a serene, almost dreamlike feel. By the end of the shoot, Mahli and Tom were laughing, happy, and feeling even more connected than when we started. It’s always an honor to document these intimate moments in a couple’s life, and I’m so excited to see where Mahli and Tom’s journey takes them next. Their engagement shoot was full of love, laughter, and those quiet, beautiful moments that I absolutely adore capturing.
